He is curious by nature, has a wide culture, great flexibility of mind, a very good knowledge of his working languages and drafting skills. The discipline is distinguished from interpretation, which consists of verbally reformulating a message from one language to another during speeches, meetings, conferences, and debates, or before courts of law or administrative tribunals. Translation today presents a number of resolutely topical challenges, shaped by globalization and the evolution of new technologies.
